Argaloth Occu'thar Alizabal Occu'thar is the second boss of Baradin Hold. Once held captive within a cage, he broke free and gained access to the western wing of Baradin Hold where he devoured the inmates, becoming too huge to flee from this hall.
After killing this NPC you will gain:
Abilities – Occu'thar sets his gaze on the location of a random player, then inflicts 34125 to 35875 Fire damage every 1 sec. to players within 12 yards of the targeted location. Focused Fire – Occu'thar inflicts 102375 to 107625 Shadow damage to players in a 60 degree cone in front of him, and increases Shadow damage taken by 100% for 30 sec. – Occu'thar forms an Eye of Occu'thar on every player for 10 sec. The eyes bore into their target hosts with the Gaze of Occu'thar. Eyes of Occu'thar – The Eye of Occu'thar gazes at its target host, inflicting 5850 to 6150 Shadow damage every 1 sec. for 10 sec. Gaze of Occu'thar – After an Eye of Occu'thar remains attached to a player for 10 sec, it fully bores into the host and detonates with Occu'thar's Destruction, inflicting 24375 to 25625 Shadow damage on all players. Occu'thar's Destruction Strategy As with most previous PVP bosses, Occu'thar is not an incredibly difficult fight, though may require a bit more execution than exercised in the average PUG. This fight will require two tanks, which must face the boss away from the raid due to the frontal cone effect of . When the first tank is hit with and gains the debuff ( Searing Shadows), the other tank must taunt the boss off (as getting hit again by while debuffed will more than likely one-shot the tank). Simple tank rotation, tank gets debuff, other tank taunts. Unlike Argaloth's Meteor Slash, the damage is not spread between targets so there is absolutely no reason for anyone to be near your tanks (or for either of them to be near each other, for that matter). DPS have a bit more to worry about, as Occu'thar will periodically target a random player and cast Focused Fire. He will target the location and channel placement of a giant, fiery void zone on the ground that (you guess it) you shouldn't stand in. The animation for both the channel and the ground effect are extremely obvious, but players should try to spread out a bit to avoid unnecessary damage from it. Players shouldn't spread out too much, however, as his other ability is particularly mean. Occasionally, Occu'thar will cast Eyes of Occu'thar, attaching an Eye of Occu'thar to every player in the raid. The Eye will inflict ~6,000 Shadow damage every second for 10 seconds or til it is destroyed. When the Eyes go out, your raid will want to stack up very quickly and AoE these Eyes down as quickly as possible, because if they are left on a target for the full duration (10 seconds) they will detonate with Occu'thar's Destruction, dealing ~25,000 damage to all players. That's basically the entire fight. TL;DR version: Tanks spread out, face the boss away from the raid, and taunt off each other after is cast. DPS spread out, avoid Focused Fire effect on the ground. Entire raid stack up when Eyes of Occu'thar is used, AoE the adds down as quickly as possible then spread back out. Collect PVP gear and/or Tier 12 loot.

– Occu'thar forms an Eye of Occu'thar on every player for 10 sec. The eyes bore into their target hosts with the Gaze of Occu'thar.
Gaze of Occu'thar
– The Eye of Occu'thar gazes at its target host, inflicting 8775 to 9225 Shadow damage every 1 sec. for 10 sec.
– After an Eye of Occu'thar remains attached to a player for 10 sec, it fully bores into the host and detonates with Occu'thar's Destruction, inflicting 19500 to 20500 Shadow damage on all players.
